Diwali is one of the most significant holidays in Indian culture, being an analogue of New Year to some extent. The Indian festival "Diwali" was held in Tambov at the creative venues of the Derzhavin University over the past nine years. This year the Festival was implemented with the grant support of the Administration of the Tambov Region.

The X Festival of Russian-Indian Friendship "Diwali" took place on the stage of the Academic Theater of the Derzhavin TSU on November 20, 2020 at 15:00.

Within the framework of the Festival, a colorful concert and entertainment program was held: dance and musical performances by representatives of India, creative workshops on mehendi and Hindi painting, a corner "Chess of India", an interactive photo zone and a mini-exhibition "Color of India".
