Tambov celebrated the National Unity Day with thematic events. Derzhavin international students didn’t stand aside.

Students from Gabon, Egypt, Congo, Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Morocco, Angola took part in the Great Ethnographic Dictation 2022 on the basis of the Tambov Pushkin Regional Library.

The festival "Culture of the Peoples of Russia" in the banquet hall "Kulek" delighted the guests not only with bright performances, but also with a master class on making traditional Russian pies, an intellectual quiz and a competition of national dishes.

Within the quiz on the traditions, socio-cultural characteristics and ritual culture of our multinational country a team of students from China, Algeria, Morocco and India called "The Dates" brilliantly coped with all tricky questions and took the honorable 2nd place after 5 rounds.

And the team from Algeria became the winner of the competition of national dishes according to the result of voting. Participants and guests of the festival could feel like part of the jury team and vote for the most delicious dishes.
